Applied Control Launches New National Board Certified Pressure Relief Valve Services to Serve the Rocky Mountain Region

Englewood, CO: Applied Control opened a new, National Board certified pressure relief valve services shop today. The investment in this new capability augments Applied Control’s existing valve service portfolio. In addition to being able to provide control valve, isolation valve, and motor operated valve/actuator services, Applied Control now offers pressure relief valve testing and repair services.

Having obtained the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors “VR” Certification, Applied Control is now authorized to repair and modify all ASME Section I and Section VIII pressure relief and safety relief valves from any manufacturer. The fully functional mobile shop can be pulled by tractor-trailer directly to a customer site in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Western Nebraska and Western South Dakota to perform safety-relief valve services.

Key services to be provided include testing, inspection, evaluation, maintenance and repair for pressure relief valves. Customers will be able to schedule on-site pressure relief valve service for startup & commissioning projects, outages, turnarounds and shutdowns. When not deployed at a customer facility, the Mobile Valve Shop will be testing and repairing equipment from the Applied Control headquarters in Englewood, CO.

“We are excited to grow our service offerings with the addition of our National Board Certified Pressure Relief Valve Mobile Service Shop. Our valve services team has worked hard to expand our capability to best serve our customers in the Rocky Mountain Region. We look forward to earning the trust of our customers to provide this service at their site in the near future.” said Randy Schrader, President, Applied Control.

This venture is the first investment of many towards building an even more complete valve service offering for our customers.
