Electro-Pneumatic Positioners

Electro-pneumatic positioners are conventional pneumatic positioners that have an additional integrated electro-pneumatic transducer. The transducer receives the DC analogue input signal from the control system and converts it to a proportional pneumatic signal which is then sent to the conventional positioner. Almost every Fisher® pneumatic positioner has the option of adding an integrated electro-pneumatic transducer. This option allowing customers to upgrade their existing control technology while continuing to use their current reliable Fisher positioner technology they are comfortable and familiar with.

Fisher® 3582i Electro-Pneumatic Single Acting Positioner

Fisher® 3582i electro-pneumatic, single-acting positioner is used with diaphragm-actuated, sliding-stem control valve assemblies. The electro-pneumatic valve positioner receives an electronic input signal from a control device and modulates the supply pressure to the control valve actuator, providing an accurate valve stem position that is proportional to the pneumatic input signal received from a control device.

Fisher® 3720 Electro-Pneumatic Positioner

Fisher® 3720 electro-pneumatic positioner is designed for use with either diaphragm or piston rotary actuators. It provides a valve ball or disk position for a specific input signal. The 3720 positioner is created by the addition of a Fisher 3722 electro-pneumatic converter to the 3710 positioner. The 3720 positioner provides a valve position in response to a DC current input signal. It can easily be configured as single- or double-acting for rotary actuators.
